In 1869, a Siberian called Dmitri Mendeleev presented a brand new version of the periodic table of Elements
to his peers at the Russian Chemical Society.
He tabulated in order of their atomic Weight, forming basis for a fascinating Chart that revealed patterns amongst the The primary building blocks of matter. It's been 150 years since Mendeleev came up with the idea and created the beginnings of the periodic table we know it.
Before Mendeleev there were Scientists who tried their hand at arranging the 63 elements know at their time

Here are some of the design's of the periodic table

• The OG
This is the most popular periodic table and it's the original periodic table which was designed by Dmitri Mendeleev. It is arranged by atomic number, electron configuration, and loosely on the chemical properties of the elements.

Mendeleev table has fewer version than the one above, but he left space for more, and predicted properties of elements that has not yet been discovered.
Amazing most of the prediction where correct.

The Rainbow Ribbon
Called the curled ribbon periodic table, it was created by james Franklin Hyde in 1975.

He was an organosilicon chemist, So he gave silicon the centre stage ( in the beige section in the middle of the two circles ), highlighting how connected the this element is to many others in the table. The many colours highlights the elements periodic relationship.

The 3D Flower
Okay it takes a different effort to get into your head but it's not complicated.

There is no hydrogen on this one. The first teal - coloured Section ( or petals ) contains the alkali elements on the front, and the alkaline elements metals on the back. Then the other petals contain the rest of the elements, grouped by their elemental qualities.

The Spiral
If the last table was purely functional, the design, this one is mostly looks and design.
The spiralling work was created by a Chemist called Theodor Benfey in 1964.

Starting in the middle of the spiral with hydrogen, it swirls outwards in atomic number order before branching off into the transition metals, lanthanide, actinides and Currently Undiscovered Superactinides.

The Tower
This table was designed by Valery Tsimmerman, grabs Mendeleev table and throw it out the Window ( not really, but it's most different of the table on the list )

Instead of being based on atomic number, this one called the ADOMAH periodic table - is Systematised around the four quantum number of electron. The four numbers are used to describe the arrangement and movement of electrons within an atom

The idea of this was derived from the older table by engineer and biologist Charles Janet. His work rearranged the elements according to orbital filling - basically the likely hood of finding an electron at a particular distance from the nucleus of the atom.
Fun Facts: He ( the designer ) called the tower "the perfect arrangement of elements" and even has a sweater featuring the outline of the table on it.
