Supreme’s Tamagotchi is millenial catnip

Hands off, Gen Z
Supremes Tamagotchi is millenial catnip

Whether you love them or hate them, there's no denying that Supreme is doing something right. Founded in 1994 as a tiny skate shop in Lower Manhattan, the sneaker and streetwear brand now has over 15 locations across three continents, and is worth over one billion dollars (yes, billion with a b).

Known for their graphic-heavy pieces and sell-out collections, the James Jebbia-helmed label also has a knack for dropping some of the weirdest branded accessories that we've ever seen in our lives, like the upcoming Supreme Tamagotchi that has every '90s kid screaming internally.

Supreme

Sup's take on the Tamagotchi is pretty much identical to the original ones from back in the day, but it has been updated with three all-new camo-covered colour combos. The controversial red Box Logo features at the very top of the egg, and just below it, you'll find a tiny screen where your digital pet can live peacefully (or die violently).

Supreme

Believe it or not, the Supreme x Tamagotchi is actually one of the New York City imprint's more creative collectibles. In the past, they've dropped everything from dog bowls and fire extinguishers, all the way to voodoo dolls and bricks (like, an actual, literal clay brick). At least, this way, you can actually interact and use the accessory on a daily basis, rather than have it sit on your shelf collecting dust, while you stare at it and question your life choices.

Supreme

Normally, Tamagotchi toys are priced at around £15 to £20 a pop, so you expect Supreme's version to retail for at least double or triple the amount. Set to release on March 16, the Supreme x Tamagotchi collab will sell out fast, so if you're a ‘90s kid who wants to relive the good ol’ days, this is a drop that you seriously do not want to miss out on.
